Communicating Science

NGeo.jpg

I have over five years of experience in science writing, editing, and fact-checking. You can see my writing at Massive Science, where I also coached beginning science writers on how to translate complex scientific research into engaging, accessible stories, and edited and fact-checked their work. My writing has been syndicated by Pacific Standard, Salon, Quartz, and other outlets. I have recent bylines at the Wake Forest University News website, Coastal Review, Mongabay and Hakai Magazine, and on the Frost Science Blog. Recently, I helped edit Grow by Ginkgo's The Futures Issue, and I have a co-authored chapter in the upcoming book "Teaching Science Students to Communicate: A Practical Guide."

CHECK OUT MY WORK!

I am looking to expand my freelance work and am currently open to clients looking for a science writer (both popular science/journalistic pieces and academic writing), editor, copy editor and proofreader, and/or fact-checker. Please contact me using the form on my Contact page to tell me a little bit about your project and inquire about my rates.
